Cat® Hydraulic Cylinder Head or cap is connected to the rod end of a hydraulic cylinder tube or barrel by means of threading or bolts. The main function of the head is to enclose hydraulic pressure within the cylinder tube or barrel. The hydraulic cylinder head also contains an integrated rod sealing arrangement that prevents hydraulic system contamination from external particles. Cat® Cylinder Heads feature an innovative sealing system that absorbs pressure spikes, withstands side loading, and guards against contaminant entry better than competitive designs. The availability of multiple sizes of guides and inserts provides maximum cylinder head reuse and repair. The costly head casting's bottom deck can be machined to clean up minor damage and still be reused for an additional life.Application:Cat® Hydraulic Cylinder Heads are designed for specific cylinder applications.
