Cat® Cylinder Flanges are used as supporting medium for the steering cylinder of Cat® Front Axle. They are joined by bolting, and sealing is often completed with the use of gaskets or other methods. Cat® Flange is a projecting ridge, rim, collar or ring on an object such as a column, beam, pipe and so on that provides additional strength or stiffness or additional surface area for the attachment of, or to, another object. It has a high thickness, in order to support the whole cylinder, and to withstand the pressure built up inside the cylinder.
