A Pillow Block Bearing is a mounting bearing that are used to provide load support for a rotating shaft. Their mounting surface is on a plane parallel and offset to the axis of the shaft. Mounting holes or slots in the base or feet of pillow block bearings permit adjustment and easy mounting. It consists of a cast iron base (also called block or pedestal), gunmetal or phosphor bronze brasses, bushes or steps made in two-halves and a cast iron cap. The two halves of the brasses are held together by a cap or cover by means of mild steel bolts and nuts. mounted bearings that are used to provide load support for a rotating shaft.Attributes:• Provided with mounting slots of size 17.475mm x 25.4mm• Provides resistance to lateral or horizontal forces that could cause the bearing to shift or deform• Possesses high shock load resistance, minimize vibrationApplications:A Pillow Block Bearing is used in low-torque, light load applications.
