A Sleeve Bearing is a sliding contact bearing in which the surface of the shaft slides over the surface of the bush. It consists of a cylindrical sleeve with a smooth inner surface that allows a shaft to rotate inside it with minimal friction. The angle of contact of the bearing with the journal is 3600, therefore, it is a full journal bearing. With the addition of lubrication, sleeve bearings offer a low coefficient of friction and provide excellent wear resistance.Attributes:• Designed to minimize friction between the shaft and the bearing surface• Provided with 6 holes to fit fasteners of size M6 for the Fitting.• Can accommodate misalignment between the shaft and the bearing surface• Possesses high shock load resistance and minimizes vibrationApplications:A Sleeve Bearing is used in Belt Tensioners and Conveyors.
