Cat® Ball Joints also allow the front wheels and suspension to move back and forth, as well as up and down, as the steering wheel is turned during driving and as the car moves over uneven road surfaces. It is the connection point between the suspension arm and the axle of a vehicle. It helps to control the movement of one or both wheels in relation to each other. The ball joint is made up of an upper and lower ball with a stud that connects them. Axle components must endure incredible torque, high impact loads, and frequent direction and gear changes. Cat® components are designed and manufactured to meet these types of demands. The result is a drive train that lasts longer and works harder over the life of the machine.Application:Cat® Ball Joints are used in Cat® Front Axle systems to transmit the motion. Consult your owner's manual or contact your local Cat® Dealer for more information.
