A Cat® Sleeve is a tube of material that is put into a cylindrical bore, for example, to reduce the diameter of the bore or to line it with a different material. To give it more strength it is designed using Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE). Sleeves are specifically designed to operate as a system to deliver the performance you expect.
