A Brake Piston is a part of the wheel brake unit located inside the axle housing. The Piston is cylindrical and fits snugly within the wheel cylinder housing. When hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston, it moves outward, pushing the brake pads against the brake rotor to create friction. This pressure causes the piston to move within the brake caliper.Attributes:• Provides precise control and consistent stopping power• Withstands and dissipates the significant heat generated during brakingApplications:A Brake Piston is used in an axle to generate friction against the rotating drum, leading to deceleration and ultimately stopping the machine. During braking the piston absorbs heat generated to prevent brake fade and maintain braking performance.
